Abstract

Adaptation to schools today has a special role in the emotional, cognitive and educational development of children and can have a significant impact on their future and career choices, so to investigate the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between Initial maladaptive schemas and school adaptation, this study was performed. For this purpose, a sample with a cluster random method that includes 408 seventh and eighth grade students, girls and boys high school in the second district of Tehran was selected and the required information was collected using standard questionnaires. Was collected and analyzed using Pearson correlation matrix and structural equation modeling. The results of correlation matrix study showed that there is a significant and inverse relationship between the total score of early maladaptive schemas in all areas and adaptation to the school and a significant and positive relationship between the total score of psychological capital and adaptation to the school in the total score. In addition, the results of the structural modeling test to measure indirect relationships also showed that early maladaptive schemas can indirectly predict social, emotional, and academic adjustment through psychological capital. Therefore, considering the importance of the study period and students 'adaptation to the school and its impact on students' future, these results are more important and due to the learnability of the components of psychological capital, it can be used to reduce the destructive role of schemas. Incompatibility helped in adapting to the school.
