Abstract

Given the increasing importance of the role of new social movements in the field of society, such as the feminist movement, has necessitated their consideration and analysis of the Islamic Republic of Iran's relationship with them. This article has explored the identities of the feminist movement in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The methodology of this paper is qualitative and is based on the theoretical foundations of “Alain Touraine”. Accordingly, a comparative study of the identity of the feminist movement with the identity of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the political system of the Islamic Revolution has been discussed. Based on the present study`s findings, it can be said that Islamic Republic of Iran has an identity beyond (different) feminism movement`s boundaries, although Islamic Republic of Iran, based on the “Islamic feminism” or “Muslim women's movement”, has been accompanied by feminism movement. Therefore, Muslim feminists can seek to be active and self-creator in the Islamic Republic of Iran based on their own identities. Thus, while maintaining and expressing its Islamic identity, the Muslim women's movement can play an effective role in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
