Investigating the Relationship between Tendency to National Identity and Sense of Social Justice among Citizens of Bandar Abbas

Abstract

Social Justice is one of the Basic Issues in Human Life. Considering the importance of discussing the sense of social justice, the present study seeks to answer the main question of whether there is a relationship between the tendency to national identity and the sense of social justice in the city of Bandar Abbas? The statistical population of this study is all citizens aged 18 years and above in Bandar Abbas city, 384 of whom were surveyed as sample size and SPSS software and structural equations (Smart PLS) were used for data analysis.
The results show that between the tendency towards national identity (P= 0.34) and its indicators namely political identity (P= 0.38), territorial identity (P= 0.32), cultural identity (P= 0.28), Historical identity (P= 0.23) and religious identity (P= 0.43) have a positive, direct and significant relationship with citizens' sense of social justice. Therefore, all the research hypotheses are confirmed. The results of the structural equation model (Smart PLS) also show that national identity tendency has a moderate effect on social justice (0.45) and national identity variable (0.21) on social justice variable variance explains.
