Components affecting social capital and public trust in the Islamic Republic of Iran: Case study of Hassan Rouhani's government

Abstract

In the general purpose of this study, we seek to explain the indicators affecting the two elements of social capital and public trust in Iranian society. And in the partial purpose of the present study, the time period of the tenth and eleventh governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been considered: have the two elements of social capital and public trust in the government of Dr. Hassan Rouhani increased or decreased? In this research, two methods of content validity and structural validity were used to determine the validity, and in order to analyze the data, SPSS and PLS software were used. The rule of law, political stability and non-violence, accountability, the fight against corruption and the right to comment affect social capital and public trust in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Trust, participation in civic organization, communication with others, commitment and responsibility, cooperation and team spirit and a sense of collective identity are components of social capital. Good governance has a positive effect on social capital and public trust in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
