Abstract

Stratification is a social mechanism that guarantees the social status of worthy people. Political participation has also been considered by political sociologists as an important aspect of political culture. In our country, with the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the change in the political system, the level of awareness and political participation of the people has increased. Khuzestan province, regardless of its size, has a variety of ethnicities and in addition to the Persian people, it includes the Bakhtiari, Lor, Bahmaei and Arab ethnicities. Simultaneously with the influence of modernity, the country is in the orbit of consumerism and modern economic flow, the implementation of external social, economic and cultural development programs at the national level, changing international conditions and globalization and the entry of elements of modern society such as monetary exchanges and education. Modern upbringing, growth of public awareness, construction and development of oil facilities, growth of migration from villages and expansion of urbanization, especially after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, through a developmental cultural process, has caused a slow and slow change in the stratification system of this province. Findings show; The stratification of Khuzestan society in a multidimensional process paves the way for the formation of a meaningful structure based on the components of power, wealth and social culture in interaction with the acquired characteristics of native students such as education, prestige and scientific values ​​and creates an integrated model based on elements.
