Abstract

The Caspian Sea, with its special geopolitical and geoeconomic position, has a special place and importance for the coastal states. It is also considered by regional powers in regional and global equations. The national interests and national security of the littoral states of the Caspian Sea require that peace and tranquility prevail in the region and that any action that leads to conflict between the littoral states be strictly self-controlled. In this regard, from the point of view of international law, these solutions can be presented. . Therefore, firstly: in this type of waters, there is no freedom of navigation. In the absence of a treaty, the rights of coastal States are in any case assumed to be equal.
