Abstract

Political thought in Iran before the Islamic Revolution had an effective socio-political dimension. This feature is included in this discussion due to its mass nature. The concept of ideology is a conceptual framework that separates political thought from its methodological state and is an eclecticism of ideas whose nature is a contradiction in thought and action. Despite the necessity of having some kind of ideology in political thought, according to the author, the question is what kind of rationality is in the concept of ideology that separates it from the normal coordinates of political thought? It is assumed that the rationality in this type of political thought is not critical and has the instrumental characteristics of rationality. In other words, due to the existence of absolute and fixed elements in it, in dealing with social necessities that have relative indicators, a kind of contradiction has occurred, and because its nature is power-oriented, its discipline becomes both ruling-oriented and not community-oriented. What is "guided" and engineered from above? The logical consequence of that is the tendency towards a kind of individual-centered and dogmatic cooperatives. Accordingly, the purpose or subject of the pathology discussion is to deal with political thought by relying on the element of fluidity and rational rather than systematic choice.
