Investigating the situation of divergence and convergence of ethnic and religious minorities in the country (Kurdish and Baluch regions)

Abstract

The issue of ethnic and religious pluralism has been and is one of the main concerns of politicians in all countries, and it becomes extremely important and sensitive when it comes to national security. It should always be borne in mind that the discussion of ethnic pluralism and the differences that exist between ethnicities is the beginning of some tensions in society. Accordingly, the present study was conducted with the aim of studying the impact of ethnic and religious divisions on the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran (with emphasis on the Kurdish and Baluch ethnic groups). The research is descriptive-analytical and is performed with a combination of documentary and survey methods. Data collection of the survey part of the research was done using a researcher-made questionnaire that measured validity (through experts) and reliability (through Cronbach's alpha). Descriptive and inferential statistics (using Spss software) as well as swot analysis method were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the Kurdish people have more divergence than the Baluch people and in general the degree of dehumanization of these two peoples with the central government is weak. It also seems that the prospect of ethnic and religious divisions in the Kurdish and Baluch areas will remain stable in terms of security and as a cultural puzzle in the diverse Iranian society, maintain the current situation, and at this time how the government measures to control This crisis and the preservation of the interests and national security ofthe country
