Identifying the current Barriers to civil society development with an emphasis on Iran

Abstract

As a public and managerial field, Civil society has political, cultural, economic, and social origins to achieve the guarantee of freedomand human dignity as a natural right and a valuable supervisory institution and its supervisory role as a particular task concerningthe type and scope of supervision is focused by a democratic society. Therefore, in the present study, we examine the current Barriers to civil society development. The descriptive-library method has been used to collect information in this research, and the analytical method has been used to obtain the result. The findings of the study showed that since in recent years this category and its various dimensions have been paid much attention to, there are still obstacles to its spread in society, including the impact of atheistic thoughts on civil society. And the constituent elements of its dependence on foreigners, the existence of individual and government-affiliated regime parties, public pessimism and ignorance of the position of civil society and its constituent elements, including parties, and the lack of fundamental changes in the formulation and the confrontation between tradition and modernity. In general, it can be concluded that civil society is an important and fundamental category in realizing the rights and needs of the people, so its development and removal of obstacles to its expansion are important and it is necessary that at the macro-level of regulation, more attention should be paid to it.
