Abstract

Because the Charter of the United Nations places a high value on the protection and development of human rights. The United Nations therefore considered establishing mechanisms to protect and promote human rights. Accordingly, the former Commission on Human Rights established procedures in relation to countries and issues (Special Rapporteurs and working groups) to monitor how countries pay attention to human rights law. After the establishment of the Human Rights Council, these special procedures continued their activities in order to study the human rights situation in the countries or the thematic study of the human rights situation in all parts of the world. Considering the position of the right to safe drinking water as one of the fundamental human rights and on the other hand, considering the role of the Special Rapporteur on the right to drinking water in supporting and promoting this right in developing countries, the Special Rapporteur is effective in supporting and promoting This right is considered.
