Social Capital: Above its up and down in academic research

Abstract

the spread of literature related to the concept of social capital and offering different and sometimes contradictory results about it, coupled with the diversity of scientific fields and different approaches to this concept, necessitates the aggregation of results and offering quantitative and qualitative analyses. this paper is designed to provide qualitative analysis of research related to social capital carried out during the period from 2013 to 2018 in iran. The method of conducting research was a qualitative meta - analysis and was analyzed in632 of the 632 scientific articles, PhD theses and doctoral theses in the various disciplines of human sciences 75 as research samples.

the result of this study shows that the relationship of social capital with each of the underlying variables must be analyzed by considering the control or uncertainty of other variables. the variables of age, gender, marriage and employment with social capital have moderate correlation, and education and income variables are indirectly correlated with social capital. social capital with social and national identity, political participation, life satisfaction, happiness and hope for the future, feeling of competence, happiness and happiness and hope for the future, feeling of competence, self - welfare, sense of well - being and empowerment of individuals and groups and down of crimes, deviations and social damage, pollution and environmental degradation have a direct and meaningful correlation.
