Investigating the relationship between domestic violence and precocious puberty in first-level high school girls in Shiraz

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to investigate one of the aspects of this problem and examine the issues that have affected the early puberty of girls and caused physical and social damage to them. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate family violence with precocious puberty among first-level high school girls in Shiraz. Method: The current research is of a descriptive-analytical type, which was conducted as a survey. The statistical population under study is all female students of the first level of high school in four districts of Shiraz, whose age range was 11 to 12 years; According to the inquiry, 4100 students were studying and according to the sample size of Cochran, 351 people were considered as the research sample. In order to achieve the goals of the research from the personal information questionnaire in order to know the demographic characteristics, the researcher made a questionnaire which has 23 questions in the social violence section and 9 questions in the precocious puberty section. The validity of both questionnaires was confirmed by experts and their reliability was investigated in a preliminary study with 30 subjects and their reliability was calculated as 0.89 for domestic violence and 0.88 for precocious puberty.
