International commitments to protect victims of terrorism from a human rights perspective

Abstract

Today the international society has considered terrorism as a universal crime. Terrorist groups create general panic and violate human's fundamental rights such as living, health, and other fundamental rights are sacrificed for their aims. Terrorism victims are relatives and significant ones of those who were killed and injured by terrorism acts. These victims have accidentally be the target of terrorism acts and are the most innocent people. Thus they deserve receiving support and attention in the light of human rights.
The aim of present study which is a descriptive- analytical research is to examine the human right commitments of international society of the governments in support of terrorism victims and also examine the status of such commitments in international law. The results indicated that the international society of governments has stepped in the right path and based on such commitments and in line with supporting fundamental human rights they are committed to support victims of terrorism.
