Abstract

A group of Iranian thinkers have condemned to acceptance the theory of evolution based on the effect of creation verses. A thinker who chooses this solution, Clearly seeks to support the scientific interpretation from sacred texts. The present study does not consider Iranian biologists to be religious. Because the most of them may have been God-believers and who do not believe in God, due to living in religious societies, and don’t produced significant literature over the last century and a half that can be evaluated in this paper. But Iranian Muslim thinkers have commented on its evolution and relationship with religion. Among Iranian thinkers, Shahid Motahhari explained the theory of evolution according to Mulla Sadra. On the other hand, this idea is not only inconsistent with religious teachings, but also explains how greatness, wisdom, and providence of God. The only thing that distinguishes Mulla Sadra's theory of motion from Darwin's theory is the discussion of the existential system. Mulla Sadra believes in a longitudinal system and Darwin in a transversal system to change beings; but it does not accept other consequences that the opponents of Darwin's theory of evolution have brought up, such as: the negation of creativity, the negation of divine wisdom (theosophy) and the end, the negation of chance, and so on.
