Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of social capital in the stages of the life cycle on the power structure and cohesion and strength of families living in Arak city . Survey research method and data collection tool is questionnaire. The statistical population of the research is all the families living in Arak, numbering 93,227 cases. According to the population size, 383 families were selected as the sample size based on Morgan's sampling table. This selection has been selected as a multi-stage quota sampling. In this research, regression correlation and analysis of variance, ANOVA, t-test, Smirnov were used to check the hypotheses. The results of the present study showed that according to the relevant assumptions in this research, it can be said that based on the analysis of inferential findings in the main hypothesis and secondary hypotheses in the Smirnov test, there is a significant relationship with a probability level of 0.00. Based on the analysis of inferential findings in the main hypothesis and sub-hypotheses in the t-test in the hypothesis of social capital and family function, they are significant with the probability level of 0.03 and 0.01, respectively. The results also showed that there is a significant relationship between the placement of the family in different stages of the life cycle and the functional identity of the family at the probability level of 0.004. It seems that there is a significant relationship between social capital and family identity elements at probability level of 0.00.
