Abstract

Cultural changes and the emergence of social transformations will show their effects in man-made environments. Considering the relationship between human activities and culture, residential collective spaces are a platform where social interactions take place at their highest level through human activities and communication. The purpose of this article is to provide solutions for reviving the concepts of collective space in Iranian Islamic housing with the approach of strengthening its cultural-social role. For this purpose, while examining the process of changes in Iranian residential spaces, the recognition of social and cultural factors effective in the construction of the body of these spaces as identity features has been done, so that by relying on the recognition of these factors, solutions can be found to refer to Iran's rich Islamic culture. provided in the construction of residential spaces. Therefore, it seems that identifying the values, ideas and principles that shape Iranian architecture by using existing texts, documents and historical evidence in order to compile the principles that shape today's collective residential spaces is the main strategy to reach this goal. .
