Factors affecting child marriage

Abstract

Child marriage is one of the phenomena that has been prevalent in different societies. The question that arises in this regard is what are the factors influencing the emergence of child marriage? Research shows that factors such as patriarchy, insecurity and war, recognition by law, culture, economic and social status, etc. are among the most important issues that are the main cause of child marriage. Marriages whose victims are not the only ones are children, and they cause a lot of damage to the society, family and economy of countries in the long run. Research shows that the factors affecting child marriage have many negative effects on the mental, psychological, social and physical condition of the child. To prevent and reduce child marriage, one solution that can be suggested is for the legislature to prevent child marriage by exercising oversight and guaranteeing enforcement, along with creating a culture.
In this article, descriptive-analytical method and in the form of a library, the issue of factors affecting child marriage is studied.
