Abstract

Natural resources have long been one of the most important pillars of human life. Therefore, respect for natural resources and the environment among human societies has been considered in all historical periods. And today, the rapid process of industrialization of societies, along with the tendency to globalization, has subjected the world to great changes in social, economic and political dimensions, as well as the destruction of natural resources and its pollution, destruction of forests, extinction of animal species. Wildlife, air pollution, water and noise pollution, desertification, increase in greenhouse gases are among them. Today, natural resources and their protection have become such a moral and social value that criminal protection is necessary. The question is, what is the purpose of the Rio Convention and what effect does it have on environmental crimes? The Rio Convention was adopted in 1996 to combat desertification, which includes criminal protection of natural resources. Has aroused and even introduced a new category of crimes, in this regard, environmental crimes can be mentioned as one of the new forms of delinquency. Paid.
