Qualitative model of selective behavior of healthy food and beverage consumption in adolescents with emphasis on food marketing in Iran

Abstract

Healthy eating has important welfare and financial consequences for society. Thus, it is very important that the field of behavioral sciences and behavior analysis conduct research on the pattern of selective behavior of healthy food and drink in order to develop effective interventions. The purpose of this study was to design a qualitative model of selective behavior of healthy food and beverage consumption in adolescents with emphasis on food marketing in Iran. The research method was applied-developmental in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in nature with a qualitative research approach with data-based strategy. The statistical population included parents and adolescents. Subjects were identified by purposive sampling and snowball sampling, which according to the adequacy of the data, a total of 18 subjects were interviewed. Interviews were used to collect data. Foundation data theory approach was used to analyze the data. In total, 25 general categories were obtained in the form of data foundation theory in the form of a defined approach.
