Abstract

During the recent decades, ownership rights have drawn the attention of most of the countries in both the national and international aspects because these rights play essential roles in industrial development and technology enhancement and transfer. This has caused the countries to adopt proper approaches to the use of this potential and take measures in line with the support of the intellectual property ownership rights.
Subject: Investigating the role of intellectual property ownership rights in economic development
Objective: Investigating the quality with which the intellectual property ownership rights influence the economic development; in other words, the methods with which the intellectual property ownership rights influence the economic development.
Study Method: The present study is descriptive-analytical research; use has been made herein of the library resources for information gathering.
Study Question: In what ways the intellectual property ownership rights can influence the advancement of economic development?
Results: It has been found out that intellectual property ownership rights can influence economic development through technology transfer, trade-economic booming, and identification of the appropriate choices in line with successfully keeping pace with the global economy.
