Enumerating the components of ethical educational leadership and examining its impact on the social responsibility of faculty members in Iraqi universities

Abstract

Today, educational organizations, as a general social phenomenon, are considered an integral part of social life, and the emergence and expansion of these systems indicate the need and increasing importance of education in today's societies. On the other hand, social responsibility for universities, like other organizations, has become a matter of course, and university faculty members, who are the educational leaders of these organizations, have a great impact on social behavior at the community level. Therefore, ethical leadership is one of the factors affecting the individual responsibility of university faculty members. The purpose of this study was to identify the components of ethical educational leadership and to examine its impact on the social responsibility of the faculty members of the top five Iraqi public universities. Accordingly, this research is of mixed type and the statistical sample of its qualitative section was 20 professors and experts in the field of educational management in the top five Iraqi public universities, and the statistical sample of its quantitative section was 211 faculty members of these universities. In the qualitative part, Delphi technique was used and in the quantitative part, structural equation modeling was used as the analysis strategy. The Delphi panel experts' opinions reached 97 final indicators, which in the third iteration of the second round of Delphi ended with the components of "educational leadership skills", "moral literacy" and "educational design" for the structure of moral educational leadership. Quantitatively, these findings were validated and a valid measure was used to measure ethical .
