Abstract

In several passages of Avestan and Pahlavi texts, life after death is mentioned and this issue is also considered as a feature of Judaism. In this study, first, the study of the fate of the human psyche after death comes from the perspective of Zoroastrian and Jewish religions and the similarities and differences between the two religions, including issues such as the necessity of the world after death and its limitation to resurrection, punishment and reward for criminals and benefactors. , The place of heaven and hell and the living in the afterlife for human beings, and the presence of the bodyless soul in the afterlife are examined. Among the Semitic divine religions, there are many similarities in the beliefs related to the origin of the soul, the fate of the soul after death, resurrection, judgment, heaven and hell, which indicates the direct and direct relationship of these religions with each other. But the similarities between Zoroastrianism and Judaism must be examined in other different contexts, including the social and cultural relationship between Zoroastrians and Jews after the fall of Jerusalem and the captivity of the Jews by Bakht al-Nasr and then the conquest of Babylon by Cyrus and the liberation of the Jews. The influence of Iranian culture and Zoroastrian beliefs on Jewish beliefs is significant. The main subject of this article is an analytical-comparative study of the fate of the human psyche after death in Zoroastrian and Jewish religions.
