Abstract

Theory of mind can be influenced by the emotions of individuals. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of mothers' emotional regulation training program on the theory of mind ability of children aged 4 to 9 years.
Method: A quasi-experimental research method was used with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population included mothers of primary and preschool children in Shiraz in the academic year 1399-1400, 30 of whom were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups by available sampling method. The experimental group was exposed to 10 sessions of emotion regulation training and both groups were assessed using the Hotchins Mind Theory Questionnaire (2012) in three stages: pre-test, post-test and follow-up.Theory of mind can be influenced by the emotions of individuals.
