Construction and validation of the competency model of strategic managers of Khorasan Razavi Welfare Organization

Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of constructing and validating the competency model of strategic managers of the Welfare Organization. Consecutive exploratory research method (qualitative-quantitative) of the instrumentation type and research strategy is considered in the qualitative part, content analysis and in the quantitative part, survey. Participants in the qualitative section were 15 professors from the faculties of public management and human resources of Khorasan Razavi province who were selected by purposive and judgmental sampling method. Areas selected. The data collection tool in the qualitative part of the interview is semi-structured and in the quantitative part is a researcher-made questionnaire. The research questionnaire consists of 4 main components and 77 items that are adjusted based on a five-point Likert scale. The method of analysis of the interview data was the method of the network of topics and in the quantitative part of the confirmatory factor analysis test was selected using Smart pls 3 software. The findings of the qualitative section included 77 basic themes, 25 organizational themes and 4 comprehensive themes (individual competencies, organizational competencies, leadership competencies and strategic competencies). The results of confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficients confirmed the validity and reliability of the model.
