Abstract

The course of life and explanation of the character and prophecy of Prophet Moses (pbuh) is expressed in the Holy Quran in a very glorious and mysterious way. It is necessary to decipher it at any time in accordance with the conditions of that era. In studying the teachings of the two books on the subject of the prophethood of Prophet Moses (pbuh), despite the differences in the level of teachings and Shari'a, there is a lot of consistency and coherence. The adaptation of the time of the people of Israel to the events of the Islamic era (which is emphasized in the narrations) adds to the necessity of research, and the concordance of the commonalities with the hopes and lessons learned from it can be highlighted. The paradoxical presentation of the character structure of Prophet Moses (pbuh) that is seen in some Old Testament expressions is influenced by the perception of the followers that is imposed on the Bible and should be refined. In this article, we tried to present various teachings in different dimensions of the personality and prophecy of Prophet Moses (pbuh) in two books and to compare them comparatively. In the end, after expressing the results of the article, it was suggested to strengthen the commonalities and pay attention to the great harmony in the teachings, to provide a suitable platform for comparative studies and to lead to more coexistence and interaction of the followers of the Abrahamic religion.
