Abstract

Special art-industrial carpets; with our cultural and economic potential in our country, which has met the aesthetic and practical needs of the people of this land and other countries for centuries. The importance of this art becomes clear when it economically constitutes the largest non-oil exports of our country and has paved the way for the creation of numerous jobs around it. The purpose of this study is to analyze the gap between the current and desired status of international marketing components of Iranian handmade carpets. The present research was applied in terms of basic purpose, in terms of nature, survey research and in terms of paradigm, combined-exploratory research, sampling in the qualitative part of the research was purposeful and in the quantitative part was simple random. In the qualitative stage with 12 experts, mostly academic experts in the field of international marketing and senior managers of Iranian hand-woven carpet exporting companies, the interviews continued until the theoretical saturation was achieved and the sample of a small section consisted of 186 people. Which were selected based on the Cochran's formula. The research tool in the qualitative section was identified using the exploratory method of strategic components of international marketing of Iranian handmade carpets and the factors affecting it and in the quantitative section was evaluated through descriptive-survey research.
