The role of social networks in the stability of family relationships in rural areas of Kashmar

Abstract

In this study, the relationship between the use of social networks and the durability of family relationships in rural areas of Kashmar city has been investigated. The research method is a mixed exploratory method that has been done in two parts: qualitative and quantitative. In the qualitative part of the sample, there were 20 social media experts and family experts. These individuals were selected by purposive sampling. Theoretical coding including open, axial and selective coding was used to analyze the data. In the quantitative section, 386 families living in rural areas of Kashmar city were selected by random sampling. Kashmar was chosen because the cohesion of families, especially rural families in the city was high and the divorce rate was very low before the spread of social networks, but in recent years, this number has increased and concerns Created some. The research method in this section is correlational. SPSS software as well as Pearson correlation coefficient, simple linear regression and structural equation model were used to analyze the data. In the qualitative part, the phenomenological method is used and the tools used are semi-structured interviews. The results of the research in this section all agreed on the issue of the role of social networks in rural areas of Kashmar city and in a small part showed that dependence on networks interferes in family relationships and causes problems in couples' relationships.
