The effects of the rise of Islam in Sistan in the first century AH

Abstract

Due to its special position, Sistan has always been the focus of attention of various ethnic groups and nations. Every nation and people that set foot in this land has had an impact on the society of Sistan. Greater Iran had strong governments for centuries before the Arab invasion, and with it a prosperous economy. With the advent of Islam, the political situation changed and Sistan became a subject of the Islamic Caliphate.
The purpose of this study is to study and analyze the effects of the arrival of Islam in Sistan in the first century AH. The research method was descriptive-analytical, which was done in a library and documentary manner.
The arrival of Islam in Sistan has had profound and fundamental effects on the political, social, cultural and economic structures of this land. Although it may seem that these influences were less on the natives of this region, but due to the Arab domination politically and religiously in the Islamic world, their influence on the Iranian society was profound. The people of Sistan, with their special tribal, subsistence and cultural organization and structure, underwent changes in the economic, social, cultural and political aspects.
