Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify and explain the dimensions and indicators of value-based management in the Ministry of Interior. In the qualitative part, data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews with experts and specialists in the field of research, in a purposeful manner from the type of snowball to the stage of reaching theoretical saturation. The data has reached theoretical saturation with 18 experts and during the data analysis process using the Strauss-Corbin strategy, the dimensions and indicators of valuable management of the research have been identified. In the quantitative section, while identifying the dimensions and indicators of value-based management, an attempt has been made to confirm these dimensions and indicators identified with quantitative data. The results showed that the use of value management in the Ministry of Interior depends on the eleven dimensions of values and indicators of these eleven types of values. This article explained the dimensions and indicators of value-based management for Iranian governmental organizations and took the field of value-based management one step further and suggested that value-based management can be used as a strategy to improve organizational and managerial performance.
