Providing an educational space design model based on the constructivist approach

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the design of educational space based on the constructivist approach. The research method is mixed (qualitative-quantitative). In order to conduct this research, in addition to the documentary study, the content analysis technique with MAXQDA12 software was used to identify indicators related to the design of educational space based on the constructivist approach of the identified dimensions. The statistical population in this study was all experts in the field of educational management and educational technology, research in education and educational psychology, which was done after conducting 11 theoretical saturation interviews. Validity was obtained through 4 experts and by two colleagues and reliability of the Copa formula (0.68). As a result of 2 dimensions, 46 indicators were identified. To present the researcher-made questionnaire model, it was distributed among 382 junior high school students and finally all the indicators were approved using structural equation technique. The educational dimension with a coefficient of 0.648 has the most impact and importance in the model and the non-educational dimension with a coefficient. 0.448 has less impact. Finally, the model was validated and approved.
