Abstract

Islamic mysticism has gone through a long and ups and downs since its inception and formation. Mystical literature, like any other science, has its own interpretations and terms that writers and mystics use in poetic and prose works. Intuition has a special importance and status so that after the emergence of mysticism and Sufism, less work can be found that has not been mentioned. In the school of discovery and intuition, a shorter way is suggested instead of exhausting austerities for inner purification. This shorter path, instead of walking in the horizons and the soul, recommends walking in and purifying the heart. The issue of seeing God is not limited to the Hereafter. Mystics achieve intuitive revelations through special teachings through struggle and self-austerity, and connect the seeker to the truth without intermediaries. Therefore, through austerity and dressing the soul from any evil, it succeeds in intuition of God. And not only does he not go to bad deeds, he even forbids others from doing so, and in this way he walks the path of the kingdom well and attains the rank of Caliphate of God. In the present study, we examine the position of "intuition" in the Persian works of the mystical prose, Ahmad and Mohammad Ghazali.
