Designing an empowerment model with the professional development approach of primary school teachers in Zabol city

Abstract

Today, empowerment with the approach of professional growth and development of teachers is an important issue that should be paid attention to.The purpose of the current research is to design an empowerment model with the approach of professional development of teachers in primary schools in Zabol city. The research method is qualitative and quantitative. To design the model from a qualitative approach and using Delphi research method and expert panel, the most important dimensions and components of teacher empowerment and professional development were selected. In the quantitative part, the questionnaire on the effect of teacher empowerment with the professional development approach was used. The statistical sample of this research is 213 teachers of Zabol city. The reliability of the research tool has been confirmed using Cronbach's alpha. Criterion validity was used to determine the validity of the test to measure the impact of teachers' professional development and empowerment methods. The results of the research showed that job training, job enrichment, participatory management style, delegation of authority, individual motivations, and job attitude are the first to sixth priority.
