The role of urban management on the development of public transportation in Kermanshah

Abstract

Investigating the role of urban management on the development of public transportation in Kermanshah.The method of this research was both field and library.The collected data were analyzed based on SWOT analysis and regression test.The test results showed that urban management had a proportional effect on the development of public transportation with an impact factor of 0.25 and a significant value of 0.002.The results of SWOT analysis showed that the most important strength based on urban management performance is the existence of transportation system. Air and ground and the launch of the rail system in the future are mentioned.The disadvantage of the system is the rapid growth of vehicles (personal vehicles), the wear and tear of some vehicles such as (public and private transport) in the urban fleet.The mentioned opportunity is the possibility of changing the travel pattern by turning the bus fleet into a powerful center of travel attraction. The threat in the system is fuel that is not environmentally friendly in private and public vehicles.Comparing the number of motor and non-motor vehicles in Kermanshah, the number of vehicles in Kermanshah by type, indicates that the share and percentage of Kermanshah metropolis It accounts for more of the urban fleet (vehicles) and the increase in the use of personal vehicles on the one hand has caused heavy traffic and congestion, due to the container and the contents on the city roads and on the other hand has reduced the efficiency of the system.Public transportation is subject to urban management measures.
