The effect of using cyberspace on adolescents' social health (Case study of adolescents in Tehran)

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to investigate the relationship between cyberspace consumption and participation and social prosperity of adolescents in Tehran. For this purpose, based on the field approach and applied research approach, the purpose of the research has been investigated. Therefore, a questionnaire was distributed in clusters among 384 adolescents in Tehran. The validity of the research instrument was confirmed by the validity of the content and structure and the reliability of the instrument based on Cronbach's alpha. The collected data were examined based on the structural equation approach with Smart PLS software. The results of the research model showed that all indicators of model fit are in good condition. Examination of confirmatory factor analysis showed that all research items significantly explained their hidden variables. The study of path coefficients showed that cyberspace consumption has a negative and significant relationship with participation and social prosperity of adolescents in Tehran.
