Evaluating the current of intellectual localism in the tradition of Orientalism and its impact on the state of Iranian modernity

Abstract

In the 1940s and 1950s, with the emergence of innovative writers and new styles, the establishment of social science institutions and new styles of philosophical and sociological prose, a new starting point was reached in the intellectual history of Iran. However, opposition to Orientalism and localism was widespread during this period, and the most important debates of the period revolved around their own centrality and that of the other. Many intellectuals were persuaded by Al-Ahmad, Shadman and Fardid, about a social disease that their predecessors thought was backward, but it was not, and it was mostly Westernized.
So most of their efforts have been to leave the West. The study and evaluation of Iranian intellectualism in the tradition of Orientalism in the history of intellectualism in Iran was done; Its impact on the modern situation in Iran was also studied.
So to answer the question of what directions the current of indigenous intellectuals in Iran has been drawn in their theory and what effect it has had on the modern situation in Iran ?! It is assumed that the current of indigenous intellectuals is based on principles such as belief in the Eastern past and its truth, examining the transgression of Westernization, emphasizing the past and ancient culture of Islam, as well as considering mysticism, faith, revelation and idols made. Insisted by the mind; As a result, it has led to anti-modernity in Iran. The research was conducted under the theories of Orientalism and modernity.
