Effect of women's employment quality on family development (Case study of working women in Tehran)

Abstract

One of the most important developments in contemporary society is the change in the role and social status of women, and the increasing tendency of women to work outside the home has intensified this trend and in turn affects the family. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of women's employment quality on family development. The research method was survey and the data collection tool was a questionnaire. The statistical population of this study was all working women living in Tehran, which was divided into 4 zones by multi-stage cluster sampling method in Tehran and one region was selected from each zone and based on Cochran's formula at an error level of 5%. 384 people were obtained from each region as a sample. To cover possible errors, 400 questionnaires from each region and a total of 1600 questionnaires were distributed and collected by available sampling method. Data were analyzed by regression using SPSS software. The results showed; the quality of women's employment has a significant and positive effect on family development. The quality of women's employment has a significant and positive effect on the evolution of family plans. The quality of women's employment has a significant and positive effect on decision-making power in the family. The quality of women's employment has a significant and positive effect on the quality of family relationships.
