Abstract

One of the later concepts constructed by Foucault is the dispositif. In this study, we mean the dispositif of mechanisms of heterogeneous elements such as discourses, institutions, architectural structures, regulatory decisions, laws, administrative actions, scientific propositions, philosophical, moral and humanitarian propositions that strengthen and maintain the exercise of power in society. In this research, after a brief study of this concept in Foucault's intellectual system and introducing the views of some theorists towards this concept, we will identify and introduce a dispositif in history called "the dispositif of eclecticism of Iranian and Islamic elements" in the Abbasid period. what is meant by the dispositif of eclecticism of the elements of Iranianness and Islamism is that about a century after the arrival of Muslim Arabs in Iran and due to historical necessity, when the forces and groups influencing Iranian identity realized that neither with mere emphasis on Islamic identity nor By focusing only on Iranian identity, they can not influence the Iranian people, each tried to combine and eclecticism the elements of Iranian and Islamic identity in order to produce ideas that are both popular with the Iranian people and the religion of Islam.
