Exploring the meaning of the concept of student among female students of the twelfth grade of public schools in the 15th district of Tehran.

Abstract

Our mental concepts, human beings, always have the ability to be objective, that is, they show themselves in our actions and behavior, to be more precise, our actions and behavior are a reflection of our mental knowledge and cognition. The students' mentality of studentship is a qualitative study with a theoretical approach of interaction. This research, using the thematic analysis method, to know the mental pattern of working female students studying in the twelfth grade of public schools in the 15th education district of Tehran in the period of time He has paid from June 1998 to May 1999. Semi-structured interview and observation tools were used to collect data. After coding and thematic analysis of the interviews, 8 main categories were identified. The categories are: idealism and perfectionism, student as a subject (identifier), analysis of his position in school, generational and cultural gap, quantitativeism and competition in education, support in school, socialization in school. The results show that the dominant mental model of the female students interviewed in this research is the model of critical thinking.
