Abstract

After the Arab conquest in the east and the need to establish a permanent garrison, Basra was chosen and established. But Basra was founded in a place where Iranian garrisons were located in the centers and surrounding areas since ancient times, and many Iranians lived in those areas. After the establishment of Basra, many Iranians, including horsemen and farmers, lived there. Iranians gradually became Muslims and became one of the great Islamic scholars. Recognizing and explaining the role of Iranian vassals in the emergence of Basra's cultural ideas in the first two centuries of Islam is the aim of this research.
This research aims to answer the question of what role did Iranian followers play in the emergence of cultural issues in the first two centuries of Islam? It used the descriptive-analytical research method which was done in a library and documentary way. After analyzing the information, the following conclusion was reached: the reasons for Basra's fruitfulness in Quranic sciences, literature, theology and jurisprudence can be attributed to the geography of Basra, the presence of many Iranians and Iranian followers there, and as a result the cultural interaction between Islam and Iranian culture. knew Captive Iranians and free Iranians gradually became Muslims, and with the rich color of Iranian culture, they became one of the greatest Muslim scholars and writers and the founders of important schools of literary, jurisprudence, theology and commentary in Basra and Islamic civilization, thus playing a great role in the advancement of Islamic civilization. performed
