Evaluation of the relationship between emotional intelligence and social intelligence with employees' job performance (Case study: General Department of Social Security of Kerman province)

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate emotional intelligence, social intelligence and their relationship with employees' job performance in the General Department of Social Security in Kerman province. The present study is descriptive-correlational and the statistical population of this study includes all employees of the General Department of Social Security of Kerman province, whose number is equal to 285 people, of which 164 people according to Cochran's formula as a sample size by simple random sampling method. Were. In order to collect data, three questionnaires of emotional intelligence, social intelligence and job performance were used. Emotional intelligence questionnaire with 33 questions and validity and reliability to 0.803 and 0.769, social intelligence questionnaire with 20 questions and validity and reliability to 0.790 and 0.870 and job performance questionnaire with 16 questions and validity and reliability respectively 0.920 and 0.893 have been used. All statistical analyzes were performed using SPSS computer software. The significance level of the test is α = 0.05. The results of data analysis show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence, social intelligence and job performance of employees in the General Department of Social Security in Kerman province and in the end, according to the research results, some suggestions are presented.
