Abstract

Man has always sought to find the answer to the question, who am I? Man, as the supreme creation of God, is a multifaceted being whose neglect of any of these existential dimensions endangers a large part of the individual's humanity and mental health. Many scientists, philosophers, and psychologists have approached the subject of self-knowledge from different perspectives. The purpose of this study is to study self-knowledge from the point of view of Mulla Sadra, who is one of the Iranian experts in this field. The method of this research is library and analytical-inferential. The present study examined the four main components of self-knowledge in Mulla Sadra's approach. These principles include the single soul and its characteristics, the relationship between the soul and the body, self-knowledge in humans and the unity of the soul. Studied self-awareness, religious beliefs and practices, the experience of heightened consciousness, and transcendence. Self-knowledge from Sadr al-Muta'allehin's point of view can be related to many psychological components such as self-awareness, religious beliefs and practices, heightened awareness and excellence.
