Abstract

Tourism has become a global industry, and is recognized as one of the most developed and thriving tourism industries. Medical tourism is an industry that is growing rapidly and has provided special opportunities for international organizations to gain a competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is to present a strategic model of medical tourism for Iran. The present research is methodologically a type of research with a combined method with two approaches of qualitative and quantitative research. In terms of purpose, this research is considered as a development research and the research approach of this study is inductive-deductive in terms of data collection logic. The statistical population in the qualitative section is 20 university experts and in the quantitative section of tourists, the sample size is 384 using the Cochran's formula. Sampling method in the qualitative part is the purposeful method and in the quantitative part is the simple random method due to the heterogeneity and dispersion of the statistical population. The data collection tool in the qualitative part is through the research literature (identifying dimensions using internal and external research) and in the second part is a questionnaire.
