Abstract

In the present study, the dual political tendencies of moderation and reformism of the citizens of Khuzestan province in the presidential elections of the Islamic Republic of Iran during two periods (1997 and 2013) were examined based on the dual dimensions of Althosu and the network of social capital. The statistical population of this study was eligible citizens voting in Khuzestan province. In order to extract statistical data, the survey method was used using a semi-structured questionnaire with quota method. Then, to obtain the reliability and validity of the test, the Equivalence model and the validity of the structure were constructed. Also, for the analysis of statistical data, tests such as simple and sequential regression analysis, partial least squares analysis based on structural model analysis on the soft platform of variables such as SPSS-24 and PLS-SAMART-3 were used. The results showed that the dual correlation between the political tendencies of moderation and reformism is negatively and inversely affected by the Althussouan and network dimensions of social capital. Also, the significant relationship of contextual variables such as: ethnicity, gender and economic and social status with the political tendencies of citizens was confirmed. Modeling and polarization of political tendencies showed that both political spectrums are equally and equally equal to the model of the dual dimensions of social capital.
