Abstract

The role of the media in favor of the coup d'etat of 1299 in Tehran in Reza Shah's political power

The importance of the press is such that it has been called the fourth pillar of democracy. The role of the press in increasing the level of political awareness of the Qajar period, especially the constitution, is of particular importance.

Main question: Did the agreeing media have a role in Reza Shah coming to power?

Main Hypothesis: Given the support of the pro-Reza Khan media, as a result, the military and the government also supported them.

Although many researches have been done on the press of this era, but no comprehensive research has been done on the Tehran press during this period and their role in Reza Shah coming to power.

The main purpose of this article is to examine the situation of the pro-press in Tehran and their role in Reza Shah coming to power. Considering that there were different presses in this period, the value and importance of these presses that were published in Tehran, shows their role in enlightening public opinion and Reza Shah coming to power.
