Abstract

Explaining the beautiful concept of the ethics of friendship is an individual and social category that neither the individual nor the government can live without. This importance is placed even higher than justice. In the Islamic world, Ghazali also in some In his works, he talked about the virtues of the ethics of friendship in a way that shows his influence on the Aristotelian Greek ethics, and from this point of view, in some of his works, such as Tahaft al-Falasafeh, he has heavily focused on Greek philosophy. The research method is descriptive-analytical. The purpose of this article is to discuss the concept of ethics of friendship, using the works of two great philosophers, Arastoo and Ghazali. The findings of the research show that Aristotle's concept of ethics of friendship is not based on religion, and he formulated it in accordance with the society of his era. And Ghazali expresses religious components such as the need to hold on to success and divine help in observing moderation and the middle ground towards the ethics of friendship.
