Ayatollah Khamenei's political thought as a pioneering intellectual and theoretical approach in the political history and jurisprudence of Shia is of special interest and investigation from various dimensions. In this sublime political thought, the Islamic government can be explained and understood as a dominant discourse. In fact, in Ayatollah Khamenei's wise conceptualization of the role and position of the Islamic government, important components such as the position and origin of sovereignty, the position of leadership, and the position of the government have been evaluated as very important, and paying attention to the different dimensions of each of them can give an image Provide more clarity. Considering the importance of the position of the Islamic government in the intellectual system of Ayatollah Khamenei, in this article, an attempt has been made to analyze the different dimensions of the subject by using the descriptive-analytical method and according to the theoretical framework of the necessity of the Islamic government. In fact, the basic question of the article is how can the Islamic government be explained in the political thought of Ayatollah Khamenei? In response, it will be explained that the Islamic government can be explained in the political thought of Ayatollah Khamenei with three central issues: the position of sovereignty, the role of leadership and the position of the state.
