The Role of Families in History with an Emphasis on Shia Families

Abstract

this study investigated the role of families in history with an emphasis on shia families. The role of families in different societies and in the political, cultural, social and economic fields is one of the significant issues in history. The presence of different families and their roles in political, cultural, and economic fields has been among the thought-provoking issues throughout history. In the history of the Shia imamate, numerous families influenced different societies, whether Shia imams were present or not. This research aimed to both evaluate the role of Shia families in the history of Iran and the Arabian Peninsula and study the political and cultural roles of Shia families. The results indicated that these familieswere influential in Iran and Arabian Peninsula, and throughout the history of the imamate, the families of the imams contributed much tothe transfer and expansion of intellectual foundations and Shia doctrine. Some of them were even influential in the political field.
