Abstract

The data indicate that during the Ilkhanate period, the Muhtasban monitored the market and economic affairs.Among the duties of the Muhtasib were overseeing economic affairs, business, treaties, and women, and forbidding the aggression and harassment of one another, and even forbidding the harassment of the stars, and finally, about public health. In addition, the Ilkhans created a good culture to better promote Hasbeh. Among other things, they set criteria for the quality of goods.Timur's successors were also determined to influence the lives of the people through religion and the support of religious authorities, so they took advantage of the presence of muhtasban and used positions that influenced urban life to achieve this goal.Accountants were appointed in each city. To be in charge of monitoring the market and the livelihood of the people and to take care of the moral and spiritual strength of the society. The Turkmen rulers also paid great attention to the implementation of the Shari'a and the revival of the good and forbidding the bad, and this led to their legitimacy and acceptance among the people. The powers of the Muhtasib have been changing over time. At one time, the Hasaba institution was in charge of the judiciary and qualified individuals were appointed to this important task.In other words, apart from the customary and social aspects, it also had legal and jurisprudential aspects. But over time, its jurisprudential aspect gradually decreased and its political aspect increased, and it was the ruler of the society who employed the accountants.
