Individual freedom is one of the fundamental human rights. But social life requires the establishment of regulations that require the restriction and deprivation of individual liberty. Social life leads to the confrontation of powers and individual freedom. Power, as opposed to individual freedom, has two dimensions: hard power and soft power. Military and economic power as hard power can lead others to change their positions (hard power here means criminal law), but soft power is the ability to achieve goals through attraction rather than coercion. . The main issue of the research is to explain the challenge of soft power with individual freedom. Due to its nature, applied research and descriptive-analytical method and using library resources, it seeks to explain the position and role of soft power in restricting individual freedom. The findings showed that soft power, which has the property of control, is opposed to individual freedom. In other words, social crime prevention measures taken by the two institutions of the family and the educational system, have led to the internalization of teachings in the individual, which ultimately leads to intellectual and mental demarcation in the individual, which leads to restriction and even deprivation of individual freedom.
