Abstract

Moral is the most basic element of sustainability and cohesion of any society. Undoubtedly, shaking the foundations of morality and disregarding its principles puts society in danger of collapse. Adherence to the principles and foundations of ethics is an essential and inevitable prelude to the security, stability and development of a society. The purpose of this study is to identify the moral values and the degree of adherence in the social actions of individuals. The method of research is descriptive-correlation. The study population includes all citizens over 18 years of age in Abhar, whose population according to the latest census is 99,285 people. Cochran's formula was used to estimate the sample size and 420 people were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. Data collection was done by a researcher-made questionnaire that was distributed among four hundred and twenty citizens and the research findings were statistically analyzed using software (SPSS).The results showed that moral values with a sense of injustice (P=0.000,R=0.243),a sense of inequality (P=0.006, R =0.137), a sense of insecurity (P=0.000).There is a relationship between R=-0.285 and social trust (P=0.000,R=0.190). The results of regression analysis showed that moral values are explained by 0.28 by the variable of feeling insecure, 0.24 by the variable of feeling of injustice and 0.07 by the variable of social trust. Inferential findings suggest that feelings of insecurity and feelings of injustice have a direct and strong effect on moral conflict, and that social trust and feelings of inequality play an indirect role in predicting moral conflict.
